Summary:
The position of Roving Quality Inspector will perform inspections within various departments at Red Star Contract Manufacturing.
The position is responsible for performing the required operations based on the Job Traveler and Quality Criteria throughout the manufacturing process:
Receiving, In-Process, and Final Inspection.
Additionally, the Roving Quality Inspector will be the identified training representative for quality personnel and incoming new hires.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
(includes the following but other duties may be assigned) Assist in inspection processes in various departments.
Train newly hired personnel on quality procedures and criteria Perform and document all inspections based on the Quality Inspection plans Inspect to the AQL / C=0 Sampling plan provided Perform 1st Article Layouts when required Assist in Calibration when needed Perform Gage R&R tasks when required Assist in Problem Solving QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent, required 3-5 years Inspection Experience, required Experience using the following gauging:
mics, calipers, comparators, height gauges, thread gauges Basic computer skills MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Excellent organization skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
