Summary:
Red Star Contract Manufacturing is expanding rapidly and needs enthusiastic and dedicated General Production Operators (Injection Molding) to join our team.
The position will ensure that all required processes are completed to produce parts that meet quality and ISO standards.
The position may be responsible for operating some advanced inspection equipment.
Experience with injection molding is preferred but not required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
(includes the following but other duties may be assigned) Operate injection molding machines to produce medical device parts and assemble molded parts Review and understand blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part Start and observe molding machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance molding Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using precision measuring instruments Verify dimensions using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers and height gauges Responsible in assisting in the training of personnel, as required Confer with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve molding or assembly problems Complete essential documentation, as required Ensure all policies and procedures are followed and safety precautions are taken to reduce the risk of injury Maintain a clean work area and ensure safe operation of all equipment Must be available on reasonable notice for unscheduled overtime to meet production schedules QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
High school degree, or equivalent, required 2
years' experience in medical device manufacturing Injection molding experience, preferred OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to work with minimal supervision Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks accordingly Team Player PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk and hear.
The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Excellent vision is required to detect defects and remove small particles from packaging and product.
